The short version: We don't sell your data. We don't store your CSV files permanently. We use your email only to send you what you asked for. That's it.
1. Who we are
BizScope is a business intelligence tool built and operated by Oluwaseye. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What data we collect
We only collect what's necessary to provide the service:
- Your email address — when you subscribe, request a magic link, or contact us.
- CSV file data — processed in memory to generate your analysis. Files are not stored permanently and are deleted after your session.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Paystack. We never see or store your card details.
- Usage data — basic logs (error monitoring via Sentry) to keep the service running reliably. No tracking pixels, no ad targeting.
- Reviews and feedback — if you voluntarily submit them. Reviews may be shown publicly on the homepage.
3. How we use your data
- To deliver your analysis results and PDF reports.
- To send your magic link login and payment confirmation.
- To send scheduled email digests, if you enable that feature.
- To respond to your support messages.
- To improve the product using anonymised, aggregated feedback.
We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with anyone except the processors listed below.
4. Third-party processors
- Paystack — payment processing. Paystack Privacy Policy →
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Google Gemini API — AI insight generation. Your data is sent to Google's API to generate analysis. It is not used to train Google's models under our enterprise agreement.
- Railway — hosting and database. Data is stored in the EU/US region.
- Sentry — error monitoring. Errors are logged without personally identifiable information where possible.
5. Data retention
- CSV files: Deleted immediately after analysis. Not stored.
- Auth sessions: Expire after 30 days of inactivity.
- Email addresses: Retained while your subscription is active, then deleted within 90 days of cancellation on request.
- Feedback and reviews: Retained indefinitely unless you request deletion.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of your data.
- Request deletion of your account and data.
- Opt out of scheduled email reports at any time from your account page.
- Withdraw consent for data processing.

7. Cookies
BizScope uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. There is no cookie consent banner because we don't use tracking cookies.
8. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Auth tokens are cryptographically signed and expire automatically. We use industry-standard security practices and monitor for anomalies.
9. Children
BizScope is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes, we will notify subscribed users by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
